Im sure they do but I dont know the numbers off the top of my head. I can tell you we have more strikes than finds but these cats are good at implacing and there are pretty much no indicators of an IED. Last deployment in Iraq My company had over 100 IED finds my platoon accounted for about 65 of those.

so, since you have been over there do you think the IEDs are getting less powerful, more powerful or about the same?

The IEDs are the same as always sometimes we find one that has more explosives than others but usually its around 80 LBs we have been hit by over 200 LB IEDs though but still no deaths in the company. The insurgents have gotten much more clever as far as hiding and initiating them though.

Well yesterday was another interesting and long day we found a total of 4 IEDs and took a healthy dose of small arms fire while dismounted. I can now say I know what it sounds and feels like having AK47 rounds zipping past me and it isn't all that great of a feeling LOL. It was fun though we got off prob. around 100 rounds before they stopped shooting and disappeared into the corn fields. Im just happy they had bad aim.

Glad you got thru that, be careful and keep ur head down. Thanks for what ur doin'. Bust their Arshs,make popcorn outta those fields.

Can't go a day without something happening these days. Yesterday we found another IED and then one of the vehicles got hit with a Molotov Cocktail thrown from behind a wall. Set the front of the vehicle on fire but it went out after a few minutes and no real damage done.
