sneaky beaver! Stood on top of the lodge for 20 minutes jumping up and down with a shotgun and AR. No beaver. Then started taking the lodge apart but them things are pretty good engineers. After about 20 minutes of pulling sticks off of the lodge I gave up and went after other varmints. Plan to finally make an evening strike as all attempts thus far have failed.

I thought I had it all figured out too. There are about three entracnces into the lodge plus the water entrance. I got extra smart thinking I'll just start around the door and tear my way into living area. Except these must be some Gifted and Talented beavers because as soon as I opened up the entry way there were three very large logs blocking entrance into the rest of the lodge. They have some sort of trap door situation becuase I couldn't tell how they got in from the door to the water.

I will post some pictures this evening as I don't think you can appreciate just what I am working with here.

Is it in an area where you can light the dam on fire? If so, light it and wait for them to come out. Maybe you could smoke them out somehow.

I'm a slim 6'1 220 and it goes about three times further back into the bank. The kimber was poised and ready for action but I was far too slow on the draw to get it done.

I don't know about the covering a recording part confused2

A buddy of mine has them on his place so last night we went out and tore a hole in the damn to let water out about two hours before dark and sit back and waited. Right at sundown we had several swim up and start to repair the leak. I got this one at about 15 yards with a shotgun used a red XLR-250 light and they never saw us

Has the OP been arrested yet for asking for someone to build him a pipe bomb?

Is there any far bearing laws when it comes to hunting beavers? A friend of my is having a problem with them destroying his trees.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.
