Fish in a bucket to me! Even if it is 5,000 acres it is not fare chase and makes me sick. With the exception of elderly or imobilized persons. Way to go buddy ,did you ever consider sticking with your hunting brothers ? Go troll on the PETA site .

This is my favorite... " Ryan Kiefer admiring the beauty of the high mountain meadows, wishing he was born a hundred years ago." When the elk population (what he seems to like to hunt the most) was almost extinct in Colorado and animals had to be reintroduced from Yellowstone... Before the days of 350 fps compound bows, where he could wear a loin cloth and chase down an elk and whack it in the head with a rock.

"Openions of high fence hunting?" I shot a high fence once. Had a heck of a time cleaning it and it didn't taste very good.

I think Poor Man just may be a descendant of the late great Jeremiah J. Honson.

what did you shoot that fence with? what did you use to clean it? did you use the correct tag on the fence and remember to fill out your hunt log? i have heard of and seen where people field dressed fences with pliers can be costly too.

Fish in a bucket to me! Even if it is 5,000 acres it is not fare chase and makes me sick. With the exception of elderly or imobilized persons. Shooting cow elk is like shooting fish in a barrel. How hard is it? Sit on a water hole, wait for the "herd", pick one out, and shoot.(or gut shoot for you) Sounds really tough! Just like "free range" caribou, or free range antelope etc. Thanks for your opinion....
If you shoot a young deer because a neighbor will shoot it, you are that neighbor.

a fence should be tagged antlerless unless you have hung a cpl sheds on it. I was trying to kill a spike a few years ago and drilled at t-post that was right in front of him... t-post is mounted in the garage on the wall of same deer is probably still running
learn something new everyday and you will have never wasted a day.

Anybody got a good recipe for cooking up high fence? I have to do something with the high fence in my freezer before it goes bad.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.
