I bow hunted a big 10 point that I had pictures of the whole month of October. Had one opportunity at him and before it got light enough to see my pins a doe got downwind of me and it was all over. So, I am now backed off to 150 yards with the rifle. He better not make that mistake again. I did get a really nice 10 point, a cull 7 point, and a couple of does with my bow though.

In Texas if I can't shoot it with my bow, why shoot it? I will fly out of state and it will be a slug gun hunt though.

Both, but depends on which lease. Bow kills mean much more to me but don't wanna miss the chance on a big boy cuz he is out of range!

This weekend going on a hunt that someone else is takingt me on. The place is rifle only, so after the weekend I will put the rifle back in the case and continue the bow hunting.
