Granger is close to you...I was out this past weekend. Birds were few and far between... Place shut down.. Whooping Crane spotted out there. Done... No more..

nope... Granger is close to you...I was out this past weekend. Birds were few and far between...   to the forum... That place you speak of is about as worthless as it gets as far as hunting goes period!!!

I can say that I heard reports that birds were as thick as mosquitos around Joe's Lake.
my apologies to anyone named Joe on here that has named a lake after themselves.

Yea pm Brett, he used to guide for comerants and coots out in your area. if your lucky he may get you on some spoony kickers too.

And to the three who have sent me info, thanks a bunch! its not against any written rule to name a public lake or hunting area, but on most waterfowl boards it is certainty frowned upon. Take a look at the link below, I think it does a good job of explaining why and why not link

interestingly yesterday i had lunch at the Chamber of Commerce with a park ranger at the WMA in question and had a good talk with him about what was acceptable and good places to go on our local lakes. Also gave me some good duck spots for the future.
