Years ago I remember hearing about the Matthews Legacy bows blowing up quite a bit. No bow is exempt from it unfortunately.

always start with insisting you were somehow injured...blah, blah, blah, love the bows and understanding it may just be an unfortunate quality issue....blah blah blah, not wanting to make a big deal about it, but how they respond and treat customers could be the deciding factor. Kid you not, I overnighted it to them and had mine back in about a week. up

Man sorry to hear about your bow!

If there is anything I could do to help give me a Shout.

You are going to here these issues from all bows this time of year due to bows being stored in wrong places and pulled out then being shot. WE all do this and put them up after season with out turning them down 3 or 4 rounds and losing them off. Strings and cables stretch after sitting all off season. I recommend to everyone to get in and have your timing, tuning and alignment check before going out and just start shooting. Alignment can get off from your cable yoke which will make your string roll off the cam or wheel. Just my recommendation before someone really gets hurt.

New to bow hunting here.

Is this something I should worry about? I've never heard of a bow doing this till now. What type of injury can this cause? I'm guessing when you say "explode" we are referring to the string snapping?

This really goes for ANY bow...Don't put it in a case and put it in the back of a truck...HEAT will kill'em as you know. I was in Utah 3days before elk season when it happened to my Mathew. Took it to a local shop and they had Mathews send new limbs that day and picked it up the day before the season...needless to say...IS THERE ANOTHER BOW???

Team 870...Just pump it

If Mathews needs to be praised anymore then what they already get it is for Customer Service because they have by far the best in the industry. I had the opportunity to sit with Matt McPherson for about 2 1/2 hours this year while at Mathews and this is something that is always being looked at to make better than what it already is.

I got my bow back yesterday, martin sent the pro shop the wrong limbs so they had to send them back and get the right ones, I went to pick it up yesterday and Mike at Smokin Feathers Archery only charged me $20.00 for labor! They are some really really good people to deal with, I'm just glad it's over, now I can shoot like crazy all week before this weekend!

On a side note, I was not impressed with martins cs, I hear good things about them but I was not impressed, No more martins for me...
