I drove conduit in the ground 50 yds. from the feeder. Wounted a $10 field implement light to it with 6 ' of wire and alligator clips. Set a battery on the ground and they walk in I shoot. Set up cost $25 no motion sensor or anything. I have sense driven 2 ' of sucker rod in the ground at several locations I slide the conduit on it and 1 set up serves all my feeders and I take it home so critters dont mess with it.

helomech, I am going to buy one of those type lights this weekend and was wondering of the three you show in your pictures which do you like the best? Can you give me a nodel, tell me what type of battery it uses and where you bought it?

I like both of the ones that are on the same pole the best(The two white ones). They use the standard feeder batteries (the smaller 6volt battery's). I got them both from Lowes, but I don't know the model numbers. The black one has 6 LED's, and uses a special battery, that is the reason I don't like it as much.

I looked at one at Lowes yesterday that looked just like the white one on top, it cost $88, had 3 LEDs and specs said it put out 7.8 WATTS. That didn't sound like a lot of light to me. Of course the demo model they had hanging on the wall didn't work, no battery I presume.

Like I said, I don't like the LED light one because it uses a special battery. I think my two white ones have 10W bulbs and can upgrade to 15 or 20 watt. Of course if you put a bigger bulb the battery life will not be as good. The 10W is plenty for my setup, and I am shooting 250 yards. Think mine cost about 80 to 90 bucks each.

I recently bought one of these, I will let you guys know how it works once I get it set up. The torrential down pours here are keeping me away from the lease.

Let us know for sure how it works out because I bought one of those at Bass Pro and returned it an hour later because one of the two modes didn't work and there was no warrenty card in the package. I hope it works great for you. Be sure and let us know how much light it puts out.

That's the exact same light I use. I've had mine out for a few years now, jist zip-tied to t-posts and wired/duck-taped trees. It uses 5 rechargable AA's (included) in the power-pack. If you're in a hurry you can get a "rapid charger," pull the batteries out and charge them in an hour. The LED light it puts out is plenty to see by from a looong way off.

i use the portfolio outdoors. comes with three lamp things all connected by wire to a solar panel. also comes with 3 rechargeable AA batteries. 35 bucks at lowes. from 100 yards i could see a coons eye color if it had any haha

what i did was zip tie each light to the leg of the feeder. with the solar panel on top of the barrel

also turns on at dark and stays on tell break of light! no motion sensor at all..which is what i like!

I need to make me a light as well. I wanna put a solar panel on several lights to stay on all night? Is this possible? Can I make a light system that's too bright?

Whatever you do don't buy anything from Wildgame Innovations! They make crap and I wouldn't buy anything with there name on it. I bought there new feeder light thing and its junk. I did buy one of those kill lights and love it. It is really bright and seems to be much better quality than more expensive lights that I have used.

Glad there stuff is working out for you. I personally have had problems with anything I have bought from them and Moultrie but obviously there are plenty of people that have good luck or they would be out of business by now. Thanks for the response.
