no improvement, and assuming it's not a drought, then take him. He's at least 2.5, next year he will be at least 3.5 (obviously smile )

if he's not doing anything by 3.5, smoke him.

Bad thing about that is I only have 1 tag to use (I know, I know, I have the spike tag as well...but true 2.5yr old spikes are hard to come by).

This buck picked a perfect time to show himself, I still couldn't pull the trigger on him.(There's a stand about 250 yds to the right.)

i think he is 3.5, so at 4.5 next year, take him or find someone to come out and take him. No tine length and only 8 pts, smoke him.

Thats a niece, nephew deer. if he was 3.5 last year even at 5.5 I doubht he will grow over 20 percent of what he is now.

plus you've already got a pretty top knoch deer herd

that is what it will probably end up being. I have a bad problem of not being able to tell the kiddos NO if the RIGHT deer walks out.

He does have a little more mass than the rest of the deer in his age class, he is just sucking it up on MB and tine length.

I agree a 1000%

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

looks a lot like my first buck. Decent width but short tines. I'd say he should get another year.

That deer is 2.5 . On our place he walks for at least 2 more years but he would be a great deer for a young 'un next year if you want he gone.
