no improvement, and assuming it's not a drought, then take him. He's at least 2.5, next year he will be at least 3.5 (obviously ) if he's not doing anything by 3.5, smoke him.

Bad thing about that is I only have 1 tag to use (I know, I know, I have the spike tag as well...but true 2.5yr old spikes are hard to come by). This buck picked a perfect time to show himself, I still couldn't pull the trigger on him.(There's a stand about 250 yds to the right.)

i think he is 3.5, so at 4.5 next year, take him or find someone to come out and take him. No tine length and only 8 pts, smoke him.
As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind...Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks--Thomas Jefferson

Thats a niece, nephew deer. if he was 3.5 last year even at 5.5 I doubht he will grow over 20 percent of what he is now.
plus you've already got a pretty top knoch deer herd

plus you've already got a pretty top knoch deer herd that is what it will probably end up being. I have a bad problem of not being able to tell the kiddos NO if the RIGHT deer walks out. He does have a little more mass than the rest of the deer in his age class, he is just sucking it up on MB and tine length.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

looks a lot like my first buck. Decent width but short tines. I'd say he should get another year.

That deer is 2.5 . On our place he walks for at least 2 more years but he would be a great deer for a young 'un next year if you want he gone.
