For the last 10 years, it's been my pre 64 Win Model 70 / 257 Roberts loaded with 117grn BTSP Hornady's topped with a cheap Simmons scope. Shot a yote at 360 yards this past season but now it's going to put up in favor of a new Rem XCR in 7mm 08.

Hmmmm lets see where do I start. The newest weapon is a Remmy Model 7 in .260 rem with a Nikon 3x9 scope, shootin Remmy 140 gr core-lokts, only taken one deer with it so far but love the light weight and short barrell (especially while in the stand). Next up would be a Winchester Model 88 in .243 win (for those who don't know what that is, its a lever gun, but the actual action is a rotating bolt)with a weaver 2x8 scope, shootin Remmy 100 gr Core-lokts, used it a good while growing up, it never didnt kill what I shot with it. Then there's the Remmy Model 700 BDL in .300 win mag. with a Leupold Vari-x II 3x9, shootin remmy 150 gr core-lokts, its never had a problem killing anything. Hmmmm what next.....I'll go with the remmy model 700 VSF in .308 win, with a Leupold Mark 4 2.5x10 illuminated Mil-dot reticle, shootin a handload I've cooked up. Also have carried an old Mark 4 British Enfield with a weaver fixed 4 power scope shootin 303. British 180 gr core-lokts of course, its taken many a hog in its day. And finally a Ruger super balckhawk with a fixed 4 power leupold scope shootin .44 mag 300gr Buffalo Bore ammo.
As you can tell i'm partrial to the Core-Lokts, as far as i'm concerned for the price, performance and availiblity they are hard to beat.
The wife thinks I have to many weapons (I didnt even get into the tactical stuff or the shot guns on this thread), but I think she has to many pairs of jeans, shoes, clothes in general, and she drives a really nice car so I guess it balance's out.

Browning abolt hunter with a boss 7mm. Leoupold 50mm vrx3 does the trick especially on coyotes. The bigger the hole the bigger the smile.

Remington 700 / .30-06 most of the time. I have others, but I use this one more. Have shot two Elk with it, antelope, pigs and on and on the last 15 years.

Marlin 336 30/30 or Marlin XL7 30.06 for rifle and Sig. 226 40 cal. for pistol.
If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Old faithful. Savage .270, bolt action with a plain old Bushnell 3x9 scope. Basic as you can get but I've taken a lot of deer with it!

I usually take either 243 or the 308. Both are in Savage Mod 12 and are tack drivers. Once in a while I'll take 22-250 or the 270 WSM and those are both Mod 12 FV SS Fluted - also will drive tacks at 200 yards!
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

.243 for hill country deer with within 100 yard shots. 7mm Magnum for everything else . Them yotes like that mag. Let's the air out of them REAL good ! Our .243 is what I shot my first hog with, about 80 yards. Since I'm short, I was carring .410 but I still love the .17HMR! We really wanted to get some yotes but, next time maybe we can relieve some air pressure too.

For stand hunting in dry weather or if my shoulder & neck disc problems are acting up at all on under 300 lb exotics or Texas sized WTails out to 250-300+ yards, I'll use a Tikka T3 Hunter grade 6.5x55 using 120 gr SGK ProHunters or a 129/130 gr pill. If the disc problems are not an issue &/or bigger critters are on the menu the CZ American's 9.3x62 Mauser with 270 gr Speers or 250gr Nosler BT or AB's make a nice quarter sized exit "stamp" leaving only soupy jelly inside even on 100lb WTails. Looking forward to using some better Barnes/Nosler styled 250/286gr boolitz on nilgi, a full growed bison or mebbe even a rampaging 2000lb eland LOL! In bad weather or at longer ranges while strolling thru anything from the Sulpher River bottoms to the Rockies the Tikka T3 270 & 130-150 gr'ers for Texas sized exotics & WT's up to black bear & elk or a M70 300Wmg in SGK 165gr HPBT for "out there a ways" mulies and speed goats or SGK BTSP 180gr'ers for bigger critters for their SS/synthetic weather wise features.
