Which archery shop in this great state of ours would have the greatest selection of bows? I have a buddy wanting to get in to the game and he wants a road trip to the one place that will afford him the most to look at / test drive before he buys. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good huntin.

Where does he live? That may help. There are a lot of shops that have a lot of bows, but not all shops are going to have every bow out. Your buddy is more then likely going to have to travel to more then one shop.

He lives in Big Spring. I am figuring that we will probably be making a trip to the metroplex area.

Texas Game Trail in Abilene has a decent selection of Mathews and Bowtech

Check out Smithfield in Ft Worth and David's in Weatherford. That is the only two I would recommend.

There used to be a good bow/gun shop outside of Stephenville off a FM Rd. The name is Pigeon Road Sporting Goods. They had an outstanding selection when i was in college and the guy who runs the shop represented the United States in archery for the Olympic Team the year Carter boycotted the games.

I would recommend Wulf Outdoors in Athens or Center, TX. They have Mathews, Hoyt, PSE...not sure on BowTech. Good guys over there.

On Target Archery in Canton is awesome, and if you're in the panhandle, try Panhandle Outfitters. Both sell all top of the line brands.
