WHAT! Oh No! I better buy some more knives from them then. My 1 year old daughter will need a pocket knife in 9 years. They sent a 2009 catalogue to me a couple of months ago. WTF?

FiremanJG,
I heard that Moore Maker was going out of buisness. But either way, I've always said, when i wear my QUEEN out, i'll being carrying a Moore Maker on my side. From what I hear, Queen makes the knives under Moore Maker now. All Moore Maker does is stamp the logo on the knife. But like I said, that's what I hear.

My everyday carry knife is a Victorinox (Swiss Army) Tinker. Blade holds a good edge, and there are enough tools on the thing that I don't risk messing up my knife by using it do do something it wasn't intended to do.
When hunting, I carry a 30+ year-old Gerber Magnum Hunter, as well as a SOG assisted-opening model. I keep a Glock field knife in the van for "emergencies," and strap a Frost/Mora military-issue on my belt when I'm wandering around the ranch, for general cutting chores and to dispatch the occasional copperhead.
If I had to pick only one favorite, the Victorinox would be it, since it can perform any task it's put to. Though it's not the world's best skinning knife, I've skinned & dressed deer, armadillos, squirrels, and rabbits with one. I've also done repairs on household appliances, computers, motorcycles, and automobiles, and even killed a water moccasin with it on one occasion. Not to mention the fact that I've opened many a bottle of Dos Equis and Cabernet with it! And when I get stuck with a thorn in the woods, it's awful nice to have them tweezers at hand. :-)

hands down here is the best knife ive ever used. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IE5P08Ive tried Gerbers, Buck knives, cutco, kershaw and they all work good but if i had to choose 1 only the Schrade X-Timer Fat Boy Skinner Knife 9 1/8" Fixed Blade is the one id go with without any doubt. That knife is super durable and stays sharp for along time! I especially like the non slip handle and the knife is well balanced in your hand. Ive cleaned about 10 hogs straight with this knife and not once did my hand hurt like other knives do after awhile. The best money ive ever spent. My knife has easily seen 200+ animals and it still works like a work horse! Cant beat the price either

My everyday pocket knife is a Benchmade mini griptilian. I love it. For deer, I use a Schrade Old Timer skinner. A friend of mine has the same knife, and has used it for 12 years. Done deer, hogs, and cows.

But, my favorite comes from Legler Knives, a custom maker in Kansas. Those things will hold an edge like no other knife I have seen.
I see you are a man of much intelligence! Legler makes the best knife i have ever owned. That is my skinning knife, i sharpen it once a year, it will go through 4-5 deer until it needs a new edge. My carry knife is a puma packer, always loved em, always carry em.

For an everyday knife, I carry a gerber. My hunting knives are all Knives of Alaska. Hard to beat in my opinion.
