Yes, while in high school, but then my grandfather and dad taught me a firm lesson and that I was no different than a thief. Talk about feeling lower than dirt! Once was enough.

I voted no, that I haven't but then remembered one that I did break a fishing one a few years back.

so that one "no" is really a yes.

I honestly haven't ever broken a fish and game law. Many others, but not fish and game.

I have never broken one to my knowledge. I heard all the stories from my dad and uncles though, but never done it myself. Made a few mistakes, when I was 14, I shot a spike and thought it was a doe, but was still legal.

Maybe you could say I wasted game whenever I threw out some freezer burnt venison, but I don't think that counts either.

I was arrested for hunting deer at night 25 years ago...
I SWEAR!!! We were not hunting deer and had not even thought about it! BUT There was a spotlight involved and there were guns in the truck. Oh did I mention there was alcohol involved also?

I'd bet $100 this arrest never made it to the books...

Other than that my outdoor record is clean!

Nope still illegal in Texas, but Oklahoma allows it.

And yes I admit to breaking a few game and fish laws.

I didn't know there was a slot on Black Drum and literally paraded around the docks with a 44-inch female, bragging to everyone that walked by. Needless to say, I just got a lot of stunned looks.

Had a buddy that was basically skunked decide to keep an undersized crappie out of spite. Someone walks up behind him and asks if he had any luck, to which he responds,

"Nothing but this undersized crappie."

To a smiling game warden.

I didn't get my hunter's safety until I got ticketed for not having it.

Only once, 24 years ago and I am still ashamed of it.

No details. I did it knowing it was illegal. I was so nervous about it and then I start having regrets. I got away with it, but it was just not worth it and I will never do anything like that again.

I have. I few years ago I was snagging for paddlefish on the Oklahoma side of the Red River. I snagged about a 2 pound gizzard shad and threw him on the bank, cause back then that's how you disposed of trash fish while bowfishing Texoma. the game warden approached me as I was leaving, and proceeded to write me a ticket for "illegal disposal of fish". It was a $150 fine, but since I didn't have the cash, he took my drivers license. I had to go to court and got it reduced to a $100 fine grin

Mmmm Hmmm

I have. I din't know it was against the law to shoot dove while on a 4 wheeler. I haven't done it since I found out it was illegal. I didn't get caught. I was doing some reading & discovered it.

I kept to many fish once. I sent home a limit with my father in law and went back and caught another limit.

Years ago I found a dove in my game vest a week later between the material so it made me one over. I counted 14 thinking I had 15 but couldn't find that one. I got one more and had my 15 so I thought. I was cleaning the vest the next week and it somehow was inside the walls. I felt bad but really wasn't going to eat a rotten bird.

Got a ticket once for no hunters safety in '94 on my first hunt ever! GW did mentioned he wouldn't be around those parts the rest of the day hint hint so that was cool. My buddies said you only needed that for rifles and we were dove hunting and I had no idea as I had hardly ever shot a gun before much less at anything. 5 of us got tickets and one got arrested 2 months later at his house for not paying the $55 fine. Lubbock GW showed up at his house and drove him to the ATM for $200. I think that is the base fine now for it. Inflation!

So you pay the game warden in cash? Seems a little fishy to me. You don't pay cops cash for traffic violations.

That's what happened in my case. Since I didn't have the cash, he took my drivers license and gave me a permit to drive with. Once I showed up for court and paid the reduced fine, I got my driver's license back.
