I stopped by Lowes yesterday and they had Monarch feeders with the solar panel for $169. I bought one last year for about $250 so I picked up another one. I haven't had any trouble with my first one and I thought $169 was a heck of a deal. They go for about $320 on Monarch's website.

Not a bad deal at all. I bet they marked them down, because beginning of the year they were $250+

What's different about them? They look the exact same to me. Is the timer different or something? I bought one from the Lowes in Longview.

The one @ Lowe's is 6v not 12v, doesn't have the varmint guard or the galv. lid. Still seems to be a good deal.

My 6v Monarch ran non-stop for 5 years. I changed the battery this spring and it's been going ever since. We've got several on the lease that have been running longer than that.

$139 is a steal for a Monarch feeder. Even after buying a varmint guards and galvanized lid, it's a bargain.

Of course there isn't a Lowe's in Dallas that stocks deer feeders.

The 6v model runs $314. The 12v model runs $346. These prices are from Monarch's website. The 6v model is the exact same model as the one at Lowes. The 6v with varmit cage and Galvanized lid run $360 from Monarch.

Your looking @ the wrong ones, bro. It is the "Crown"(economical) feeder not their "Quantam" feeders. At least that is how it is down here for $139.

I am talking about the Quantam feeders. They are still $169 here in Longview. Maybe the Crown feeders are $139. Either one is a good deal. Lowes here in Longview only have the Quantams.

I just got back from Lowe's. I opened the controller box on 1 because the outside was the Quantam. Well, the guts all say Crown. I got excited when I saw that the cases were Quantams & I thought I was wrong. I have only used 1 of there blind frames so I don't know about their feeders but $139(they were $189 2 weeks ago) is still real cheap regardless of which version it is as long as the Crown's aren't crap.

Now you've got me wondering. I'm gonna have to check my timer. I know the one I just bought is exactly the same as the one I bought last year. So far it has been really reliable. You've got my curiosity up.

After looking at the timers they are indeed quantam. I have not had any problem with them and they have been reliable. Lowes in Longview now the crown model on sale for $99. I will be picking up one tomorrow. It's too good for me to pass up.

We have 6 12volts don't buy at lowes if you are in metro they are made on the east side of FT Worth. Go to the factory and pick up, they will put whatever you want together while you wait and pay cash for the best deal. Service there is outstanding and warranty is good. They will fix it while you wait.

Why not pay $99 instead of $300? That doesn't make any sense @ all.

Their online pricing isnt correct. They quoted me $192 OTD for the ssme one lowes has with the 12V timer, and a varmit cage. I bought the $99 one though. And lowes WILL price match their other stores.
