the only birds that you are allowed to hunt on lake fork are coots and spoonies.

You have to have a permit for the water turkey, available at any Wal-Mart Fresh Market.

Jokes aside you would be best served asking someone that has hunted ducks a lot to come join you or go on some guided hunts. You are in the right place to learn more...stick around and you will pick up all kinds of good info...but wear your waders because as you can tell the bs gets pretty deep too. Check this out: http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/birds/waterfwl/index.htmYou can shoot all the diving and puddle ducks there. There are certain limits to some so make sure you look at the regs.
Dear Lord please bullwhip me for saying this but I agree, Marcstar is in the lead. Please nobody use this as a quote!!!

I would get the brush tough waders. Also Kingfishers look kinda like BWT and are pretty good table fare.

I heard that the big bass at fork ate all of the ducks. My gf's family has a place out in Jewitt. Her dad says they used to get alot of Woodducks on their pond but the catfish kept eating them.

Cable, that signature pic is awesome!
the thing about baiting is, even a rookie hunter could have a 170 bird season if they bait holes
