next season, man go this season +1, just get out there. You'll figure out what's important to take with you after a few hunts. Do take a gun though.

flashlight, TP, gloves, facemask, at least 2 sharp knives, bottle of water, nutrigrain bars/crackers/sleeve of peanuts (usually peanuts), gun/bow, ammo/arrows, release, binoculars, electrical tape, zip ties, multi-tool with good pliers, photo ID, hunting license, hunter ed. card, chapstick, snake boots, and a good jacket no matter what time of year....being stuck in a cold front with nothing but short sleeve shirts SUCKS!! lol....trust me, I know from experience.
My motto is "it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".....especially when it comes to a jacket and toilet paper. haha

Water, granola bars or other snack (take them out of their wrapper ahead of time since the wrappers tend to make a lot of noise), snuff, large Gatorade bottle to pee in (larger bottles have bigger openings so they're no-mess), tp (don't think I'd try it with the Gatorade bottle though), binocs, grunt call, knife. I'm sure I carry other stuff but thats all I can think of now.
Good luck to you. And I second the guys who said don't wait. Deer season is upon us. There's no time like the present!

I carry water, a filet knife, hand warmers, granola bars, gloves, camo face masks, extra rifle shells, binoculars and anything else I can think of. Go get'em.
