I live in Oak Point and the Lewisville COE property is practically at my backdoor. My neighbor says it is legal to hunt deer on LL COE property, as it is Type II land. I believe COE does not allow any type of deer hunting around LL. There is a 12 pack bet on the correct answer.

Is there a website I can print to show him who is correct?

Both are hunting by permit obtained from the corps offices. Lewisville is only legal for Hogs, bow only. Grapevine for Deer and Hogs, again bow only. I saw on another forum someone was arrested within the last week for poaching a deer on Lewisville corp property.
If your neighbor has been deer hunting there, you might want to get him on track with that information before he get's himself in a lot of trouble. It is a felony offense and can put an end to his career, gun ownership, voting, and more.

Can you use feeders on the Lewisville COE? The book you get with the permit says to call the office. I keep getting voicemail? Don't figure you can but I would like to know.

Thanks

You answered your own question, but as for placing feeders I am 100% certain you will get a NO answer from them.

Gun? That might have more to do with it than a mistaken deer vs hog hunting...

Yes, it was a shotgun and a fawn. But trust me they take any poached deer off corp land both at lewisville and roberts very serious no matter what the weapon.

Your neighbor is a lier, and if he is deer hunting out there I would recommend turing him into the game warden.

You can't gun hunt for hogs at lewisville PERIOD., its archery only.

Wow, there's a Darwin award candidate, completely out of season,
illegal deer, unlawful possession of a firearm, criminal trespass....bet he didn't have a license or the federal hunting permit either....

No my neighbor does not hunt on COE property. He has a lease in Oklahoma. This discussion came up because we were wanting to find a place to hunt deer closer to home.

adam_p, thanks for the link.

Hey Bean relax....If you read the orignal post the guy was just asking for some feedback to his question, that what everyone is giving him.
