Run your feeders only in the morning. This will encourage daytime feeding. What county are u in? Alot of it is from hunting pressure.

They may not be nocturnal, but may just bbe avoiding the wrmer weather by feeding at night. If you have any idea where they are coming from move as close to the bedding area as you can and maybe catch them coming towrds the feeder and not at the feeder. When the ladies come into heat, they will become jealous and run them when the opportunity permits. Plan on being there during the rut. Does eat and bucks follow the does.

Just hunt at night. Seriously though...try just feeding mornings as mentioned above.
My wife's only thing is it can't stare at her when she is eating or sleeping!

sometimes you can pattern the deer even though they are only moving at night...as long as they are showing up at roughly the same time. A cpl years ago I had a buck that would show up at 4:30ish every friggin morning b/c I had a 3s feed time at 4am. I hopped cameras around on the trails that led away from the feeder and the deer was dumb enough to use the same trail every friggin' night. The buck would actually stay until he cleaned up all the corn under the feeder as well, so I threw him for a loop by going out there at midnight and spreading out 50lbs of corn under the feeder.... he was late getting back to cover and it was a mistake he couldn't make up for.

Hunt the rut as much as you can. And even then, you can expect the most mature bucks to stay nocturnal. Many believe that once a buck reaches four or five, he only moves at night throughout the year, and follows the same steps until he encounters something that makes him wary. And others believe the oldest bucks hardly rut at all, leaving all the chasing to the younger crowd. Sure, they'll mate a doe they happen across at night. But like any old man, living to see another year is more important to them. He knows every inch of his domain and will quickly alter his movement to avoid what shouldn't be there. For that reason, you most likely to see a mature buck the first time you hunt a new stand site. And it better be something that doesn't stand out from a distance.

Redmist220,
You said "prey real hard". Did you mean prey or Pray? Depending on the intent, it could change the whole meaning of your post. You could just hunt harder and that would make "prey real hard" perfect sense. Of you could "pray real hard" and ask for Divine intervention.
Be kind with your words, thankful to your Creator and generous with the meat from your hunt.

you may also want to try and hunt during the afternoon. some times I get in the blind in the dark and plan to leav iether when it gets dark or I kill something. Alot of times you will catch the older deer in the afternoon because they are patterning the hunters. Just be sure to take some water food and a urinal with you.
I caint spel so good. Git off mi bak

I just put up my first game cam this year. I have realized that it completely changes deer hunting.

I also hunt in mitchell county and have noticed the same thing. this is my second season out there and almost every mature deer feeds at night. however, when the rut hit i caught some good bucks chasing does through a draw that runs through our place. The only problem with this was almost every good buck i saw was broken up. stick in there and one will slip up chasing some tail.
