can't beat Flambeau for the price. They look alot better now than they used to. The only other decoy close to the price is GHG Hotbuys, and I prefer the Flambeau to them.

I like the GHG Hotbuys. They have a better looking paint on them to me. Plus Roger's Sporting Goods has them for $24.99 a dz.

The only thing I don't like about hot buys is there is no neck.

Do the GHG have the uv paint. No they don't and I have heard that the UV paint has little to no effect on the way birds look at your spread.

I have had the same set of flambeaus for the past 9 years and they still work great and look good. If you want to spend the $$ for quality, then i recommend G&H where the on at least the mallards the color is in the molded plastic and not painted on.
It's not skybusting, if you make the shot.

I can remember using cork decoys with barely any paint and always killed my limit over them. Spend what you want learn to call, the dekes are just a visual.
Snow goose decoys----white rags or newspaper.

Hey don't you worry. There have been thousands of ducks killed over flambeau decoys over the years. 20 years ago we didn't have GHG,Avery, Drake and all these pretty decoys to choose from. It was Flambeau, Carrylite, Herters, or G&H. All most of us could afford was flambeau and we killed plenty of limits over the plain jane mallards. pintail, and teal. I agree there are better looking decoys available today but there are other factors more important. Have a great season joshpin no matter what decoy you use.

If you are in the right spot, you can shoot them over coffee cans. It is like what type of camo, it is mostly for the hunters not the birds. Been hunting over Flams for 30 years. I bought 15 dozen of the new ones at Academy for $7.77/dozen a couple years ago, at the end of the season.
Buy what you are most comfortable with. G&H are great looking decoys.

I'm not saying there was anything wrong with Flams. I hunted with Flams until this year when they will be replaced with some GHG. My current Flams are 6 years old. But when you can NOW get GHG for $25 a dz compared to Flams for $30....GHG everytime.

I've been using some Flambeau Mallards since I've been duck hunting. They were my first decoys ever bought and are still being used.
