I never have but a co-worker did a few years ago. In fact, everybody in the cabin overslept. When they woke up, it was full daylight so they were trying to get dressed at warp speed. My co-worker looked out the window by his bunk and a good buck was standing about 100 yards out. He grabbed his gun, stuck the barrel out the window, and shot him. All this while standing in his underwear. Turned out to be the biggest buck killed on the lease that year. Ya just never know.

Never, every since I was a kid hunting with my bro-in-law we HAD to be in our stands before light. Built into me I guess.

My problem is more that I can't sleep when I know I'm going hunting. I can go to bed at 1 a.m. and at 3 a.m. I'm wide awake and rarin ta go!

If I try and go to bed say at 10 p.m. I lay awake until 1 or 2 thinkin about huntin!

Could have slept in this weekend, would have seen just as many as if I were in my tree.

Had to come home early to get the SKUNK smell off of me.

I never over sleep. I don't care how little sleep I've had, when it's time to get up and get out, I do. I'm always dressed and ready before my hubby.

Not oversleep, actually up too early. Last year I wasn't thinking about the time changing on opening weekend. I have always wanted to be on the stand by 10 minutes till 6 so I would have about 30 minutes until sunrise. Last year I was sitting on the stand opening morning wondering where in teh heck the sun was, when I realized my mistake. BUT, it was surprising how many deer showed up early also. Lots of shadows walking around out there eating the oats in the darkness.

Never oversleep. Usually I will wake up several times in the night look at the alarm clock (or my phone) and go back to sleep. The alarm clock hardly ever goes off, I am up before it starts beepin...

I did a small family camping trip last year. Slept in the van with two of my kids. It was great. The kids are already asking if we are going to "camp out" again this year.

I never have until I bought my travel trailer, now I get better sleep at the lease than I do here at home. I hate sleeping in though I feel like I have wasted my trip.

I find it hard to believe that all of y'all get up on time every morning of everyday you hunt.

over slept this past sunday. i cant say it was an accident though.

My pee alarm goes off every morn at 4:30 regardless if I'm at camp or not......only bad part is I sometimes hit the snooze and slip off into a dream of taking a nice warm shower....well, you know the rest of the story.....

I am right with you on that. If I ever do oversleep it usually was decided the night before and not just b/c I didn't get up.

I do like oversleeping at the lease occasionally though. Nothing is more peaceful, usually, and 9:30 feels like noon.

I oversleep every once in a while... some of the best sleep I've had though had been either in a deer stand or leaned up against a tree...

Never oversleep. I am with longhunter, can't oversleep if you get up every couple of hours wishing your prostrate would shrink.
Did have a couple of hunters at my ranch opening weekend that wouldn't get up the second morning and I took an eight pointer with my bow to show them the error of their ways.

I hardly ever oversleep, even if I drink a lot the nite before. I usually wake up too damn early in anticipation that today might be the day of the biggest buck of my life. That keeps me going every season. Good luck this year
