Howdy!

Just curious, what's the most effective way to find a lease that suits your needs?

I haven't been on a west Texas lease in about 5 years and get on one next year if I find the perfect place!

Your INput is greatly appreciated!

There is a land and lease section here on the forum! I saw what seemed like some pretty good leases on here earlier in the year!

I found an excellent lease on http://www.leasehunter.com/. Go on the internet and there are several lists like that one. Be sure to ask plenty of questions when inquiring about a property and be sure to get references from current or past hunters before signing on. Checking out the property before signing on is important also.

You can also pick an area that you are interested in hunting and go to a local cities Chamber of Commerce web site. If that town/city is in an area where hunting is a big part of the economy, they might have a listing for deer leases. I saw several COC web sites that had listings. Good luck!

Hard to find perfect, but find a good one and work your tail off and make it closer to perfect.

Ask your buddies who alredy have leases with a quality owner for their landowner contact information. Contact them, alot of times they have multiple pieces of property or their brother, father, in-laws have property that they are willing to lease to someone who comes recommended from an existing business relationship.
