Came home from dove hunting Sunday and forgot to empty my pockets.

My wife asked me why I had so many empty shot shells.

I said most of them aren't mine.

Why don't hunters pick up their own shot shells? Sad, public land will disappear more and more because of lazy people.

And how many places that you used to could hunt but not anymore, just because some people are such pigs.

I went out Sunday evening, shot 4 times, and picked up over a box of hulls. I confess that sometimes I leave others hulls laying but these were in the area I'd been hunting and I didn't want to get blamed for it.

Picked up a bunch of 20 ga hulls on Sunday afternoon. Even found a live round with them.

Yeah I picked up a live 12 gauge round, in an active pasture.

I think some people just don't understand what it means to take care of other peoples property, be a responsible outdoorsman, and respect mother nature. Leave it better than you find it.

come on guys, pick em up and make your wife some christmas decor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's pretty odd. I found 1 live round too.

yep, one of the reasons we always come out with more than we took in. Its a fun game for the kids, and teaches respect

I actually thought telling the guilty hunters but then rethought the wisdom of arguing with two guys with shotguns in the middle of nowhere.

I was thinking about this very topic while dove hunting today! I think I am going to make sure that I pick up as many as possible when I go out next time. I know we all leave a few, but we could all pitch in and make a hug difference. I couldnt believe how many were out there today!

We usually carry (2) 5 gallon buckets when were out. There have been times, we've filled both up with spent shells. Not all ours either.........
