RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

The scale system is as follows. If you shoot a duck that is not on this list, then it does not count for any points

Woodie Drake - 5pts
Pintail Drake - 5pts
Canvasback Drake - 5pts
Cinnimon Teal Drake - 5pts

Mallard Drake - 4pts
Goldeneye Drake - 4pts
Buffelhead Drake - 4pts
Redhead Drake - 4pts
Widgeon Drake - 4pts
Ruddy Duck Drake - 4pts
Black Duck Drake - 4pts
Mottle Duck Drake - 4pts

Gadwall Drake - 3pts
Merganser Drake - 3pts

Ringneck Drake - 2pts
Shovler Drake - 2pts

Whistler Drake - 1pt
Bluewing Teal Drake - 1pt
Greenwing Teal Drake - 1pt

Any hen of any species - <-1pt>

You must deduct 1 point for any Hen harvested.

10 POINT BONUS for:
Banded birds

No lines drawn across TEXAS.

NOTE...
This tournament will run all season long. I will keep a point log EACH WEEK (I might need some help with this). You MUST post pictures of your birds every week on WEDNESDAY by MIDNIGHT or those birds will not be counted. We need to be honest as this is a fun tournament and the prize is a silly trophy.

If you wish to partcipate in this tournament you must follow all the rules, but 1 in particular. If you happen to be the winner of this years tournament you will receive the trophy. However, next year, if you are not the winner, YOU MUST send your trophy to that years winner. The trophy will be sent to each years winner (like the Stanley Cup) and you can engrave your name/year on it.

Bring it on ladies.

It would be embarassing if I had to mail it to myself

Sure, I will embarrass myself, it wouldn’t be the first time. You guys need to spot me a few duck. I can see the retired guys that hunt every day will run away with this.

I would like to see 1 admendment to the rules or some leeway given... some of us will be gone for 9 days at a time so the postin' pic's Monday by midnight kinda hoses us for any ducks shot that 1st weekend that we're gone.

I don't even know how to post pic's on this site... there's no post an attachment deal that I know of.

I will throw my support to Guy! He is a stone cold duck killer so I do not stand a chance.

Mallard's should be a 5 pointer. Alimit off greenheads speeks volumes about the hunter.

What about Bluebills. 1 pt. deduction for ringneck and bluebill hens might not be to fair since it is very hard to tell the difference in flight. Also, Divers are a lot harder to hunt than puddle ducks.

Ha ha, that’s funny right there! You guys are gonna leave me in a trail of dust!

I feel like I have been duck hunting forever, but I just looked at my duck gun file, and see I bought it in Oct 2003! This will only be my 4th year duck hunting! Dang it seems like it has been longer, too much fun I guess! I’ll try not to embarrass myself too much!! Should be fun though!

I don't know about you guys but do we allow everybody in or do we exclude those who we would consider to be whiners?? You all know who I mean!! I think this will be a cool thing to participate in and I know it is the politically correct thing to do but with a certain few involved I'm guessing it would probably turn ugly after only a few weeks. This will be a fun game so hopefully it won't turn into all out war. JM2C

The more the marrier, I know some guys will hunt every single day. I work every day, and have to spend time with the family on the weekends, but I will try to get out every weekend.

Its a fun tournament that will add a different perspective on the way you take birds. instead of shooting the first bird you see, you will have to make sure it is worth you shooting. You need to have a strategy, because you can only bag 6 birds a hunt. More fun in my book.

Better check the regs, this year it is only 5 birds.

I think your taking this too serious QA. How can this get ugly when there is no money involved? And I’m guessing the trophy is not made of gold. If I’m the whiner your talking about, I’m just BS’n about “spotting me ducks” etc… I have never shot a limit on ducks, don’t expect to hang with you guys at all, I will most likely come in last, I’m doing this for the fun of it. But you can take me off if you want. I’ll have just as much fun watching.

The only thing that will get ugly is my score!

Guy, don't worry I'm not talking about you. I just mean some people will make excuses because of whatever reason they can come up with. I'll do my whining before the rules are finalized and then live with whatever is decided. I'm actually looking forward to showing everyone what a skilled duck hunter can do with less than perfect conditions. I still haven't found out if it's going to be individual or pairs. Thanks.

Individual scores

If you and Rocky hunt together, post them as individual scores, This way you will always be competing with Rocky as well, and might make things a bit more fun when out in the freezing weaher
