Alright guys

I'm bored and love talkin' guns. So what do all of my fellow THF members use to take down waterfowl. I only put the main four brands, sorry for those I left out.

Usually my Stoeger.. which I guess counts as a Benelli. Unless I feel like getting out the Browning, or Winchester, or Remington.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

This year all I've shot at ducks is my Nova. But, will switch out to the Baikals when it dries up some.

Doesn't that gun come overbored and with a lengthened cone factory?

They call it Tri-bore, has a extra long forcing cone then a secondary "cone" and then finally the actual bore?

Seems I read this on one of the British forums, and they claim there is nothing factory close on the pattern board. I have looked for one but they are hard to find.

There was a big thread posted where some of the Brit's experimented with trying to duplicate it using Bakails with some impressive results. The cost outweighed the benefits, but it had it's merits on the pattern boards and on the Greylags in the field.

I shoot A-5's and the new Maxus.

That would be the one. They were briefly imported to the US by H&K but for some reason H&K decided to drop them. I don't know what happened. The particular gun I shoot was the 2001 Ducks Unlimited national gun. The MKII saw wider production, but there are no real differences between the MKII and III.

The gun shoots well and patterns very consistently with pretty much anything you run through it. The only issue I have ever had with the gun is that sometimes the magazine follower gets a little sticky and it can hang up feeding 2 3/4" shells. A drop of CLP ends the problem.

Fabarm is apparently the Remington of Italy. They build reliable, reasonably priced shotguns that are highly popular throughout Europe. As far as I know, they're still not available in the US market. Maybe it's too crowded over here.

Guess I should have put what I shoot.

Browning Gold Hunter 3.5 as a primary. A Remington 870 for a backup or if I just want to shoot a pump.

Soon to be added....Browning Maxus.

I'm a stoeger man and I love it. Dropped it in the mud countless times and it keeps on shooting!
