Youtube, Reddit, and Sniper'sHide comments are 50-50 at best. When the bad is 50%, that's a pretty solid red flag for me.
If you have a couple hundred bucks to burn, you could take a flyer and dump it at a gun show if you had to. I just don't think the juice is worth the squeeze.

Semis are great, but not for me in those cartridges.

Probably a P.O.S.
I spotted for two ARs. Well tried to spot at 100 yards. One in .30-06, the other in .300 Win Mag. Both, I told the owners to put those rifles away and use my rental rifle for the training day. We couldn't get any consistent impacts on 100 yard paper.

I can’t think of a gun that sounds more unpleasant to shoot than a 300WM in AR platform

I don’t have a GLFA I’ve owned 3 different long action ARs 2 Noreen (30-06 and 270) 1 Nemo 300 WM In terms of accuracy the 300 WM was best followed by 30-06 and dead last 270 Win Barrels heat up like the surface of MARS in all three Magazines have always been finicky , did the send yours in and we will send you a replacement dance a few times All three were from 2014-2017 manufacturing period - since then Noreen has released an updated magazine and Nemo has updated their gas system. If it were me I would look into a magnum class upper or build from KAK before going with the GFLA. To me they design better stuff and seem to back their stuff better. Good luck !

I certainly wouldn’t expect match accuracy from a weapon like this, but I would still expect reliability. How much a difference is there between 300 win mag and 300 wsm? I have heard that the WSM has less powder capacity, still similar performance until you start shooting longer bullets that have to be seated deeper? Something like that, sort of like 30-06 vs 308. Where is the point if diminished returns with the WSM?
I am certainly not in a rush to go grab a rifle, but it’s very interesting.

Also, not interested in an AR with a 5 round magazine. No matter how powerful the cartridge is, a tactical range toy with a 5 round mag kind of takes the fun out of it. I just realized that means it’s gotta be a $6,000 NEMO Omen or a 300 WSM build from KAK.

What's it for?
.300 WSM and .300 Win Mag have the job of delivering energy on hide, and wind drifting less, on large animals 100 to 500 yards. There's no point in having a semi-auto in those cartridges, as far as I can see.

And be cool as heck. Apparently you can get a Nemo Omen in 458 win mag

I was just thinking, 5 rounds in a AR with reliability issues? I would rather have a BAR that only holds 3, is accurate, and goes bang every time

Another thought I had, a 14 round mag dump with a 458 WM AR might cause TBI 🤣
