The 2 hour final episode came out yesterday on Paramount +. What did you think of it? I thought it was Ok and entertaining. Definitely not what I would have predicted though. The first season premiered on December 18, 2022. It took 2 and 1/2 years and 15 episodes for Spencer to finally get back home. The whole series just seemed to be dragged out too long.

Like most of Sheridan’s shows, it came out of the gate hot then stalled out fast.

1st season had great potential, this last season was terrible. You can tell the writers had trouble coming up with content so they filled it with ridiculous scenarios and S&M scenes

We watched it last night and I thought the same thing. That was a lot of waiting for him to walk in and kill everyone. Why didn’t they just kill them all when they were there with threats that Spencer was going to kill them.

I agree, I was unimpressed.

I'm glad the rich freak got shot in the face.

My wife said the season was was drug out, except for that part.

The last episode was the only one that didn't drag out. The S&M wasn't needed for the show.

This ^^^^^. They made one season of story line into two seasons.

I agree. All of his shows have similar undertones, but this show was over the top. I like looking at young, firm breast as much as anyone, but I think the series could have been better without them and the kinky $hit.

I liked the series but the last season drug on forever. I was so glad the rich man got shot as soon as he said Alexandra. right in the head. Kinda felt sorry for the sheep herder in the end. The baby was John Dutton. So except for his young life we are caught up to the present. Wonder if that is next? Like 1953???

Plus Spencer fathered another son from a widow but never married her. Hmm.

Agree. show it in one episode maybe to add to the evil character, but we don't need to see the Gimp drug out of the closet and get beat every single Sunday.

The well to do British couple was another dead end that made no sense.....two seemingly put together individuals travel across a foreign land without issue but ignore the warnings of gas station attendant who tells them there is no fuel beyond this point and the road is impassible. Then they die after one night but she is able to survive for days on end?

We generally enjoyed both including 1883 but all tended drag on some. Better than other junk out there.

There’s quite a bit of “filler” that didn’t require much thought to write……I see a pattern😁 Overall it was watchable.

Glad to see the lone hero synopsis is still alive.

The whole family waited years for the Rambo of the Serengeti to arrive, when he does, he makes quick work out of the mess in minutes.

You telling me, you couldn't have taken out the old man in the meantime? And the opposing side had two spys...they could have killed the sherriff and the dutton patriarch and no one would have been the wiser. Gotta wait for Spencer to arrive though before you make your move....

You don't have to delve very deep to see his plots are pretty thin.

IMO the best character in the entire series was Peter Stormare as the Tugboat Captain. An old salt lunger was a believable person to have on the show.

Wife and I enjoyed 1883 and 1923 very much. The S&M was over the top but didn't ruin it for us. Sure wish Alex would have made it, we really liked her. Looking forward to 1944.

First season of 1923 was great. Second season just drug on and on and was so slow. I enjoyed the final episode, but it didn't make up for the 6 slow episodes prior to the finale.
