Just read about this online.
Any thoughts?

Still a Cowboys fan, there are quite a few up here actually.
Never liked Dak for some reason so will this trade maybe help?

I haven't seen this as really happening. I did read something about it but thought it was clickbait. There are only a few Cowboy fans here on the THF. We do need a good back up as Rush is gone.

He looked good in one regular season game for NE last year. Pretty skimpy resume to be Dak's backup IMO. I'm sure they'll be watching for someone else following training camp cuts late this summer.

It's not an exciting trade, but fills a need.

Cowboys will never go anywhere till Jerry quits running the team JMPO

The move just tells me the Cowboys plan on staying with Dak a few more years, Milton should be able to run the offense if Dak misses any games. Milton is an upgrade to the Dallas backup position, and in my opinion better than any quarterback who would be available in the 5th round this year. Dallas doesn't have a 4th rounder due to another trade, and they can't afford to gamble on a development QB before round 5, they just have too many other needs. I like the trade.

I heard the Patriots accepted the Dallas trade deal because Dallas is where Milton wanted to play...I watched a ton of Milton's game film, and I like him better the more I watch, the dude can scramble.

I know nothing about Mr. Milton. Forgive me for going off OP topic here.... I know I miss the good old days when players would spend their whole career with one team. In 1972 I could name the whole roster encluding the backups. Now I know Dak and Ceedee and (what's his name) number 11 and that good kicker (what's his name). Now, the players are chasing the big bucks and you cant blame them. AND I really don't care for the Jerry Show.
