I know there are a few golf nuts here. Does the PGA seem kinda "MEH"? I hardly recognize anyone anymore. I see Scottie is back shankin puts, Rory kicks azz. Guess I need to watch the senior tour.

LPGA is more interesting. Some darn good lady golfers on the tour.

There needs to be heckling allowed in golf, liven up the place, players are too uptight and solemn. If I want a good nap all I have to do is tune TV to PGA golf.

Golf has become an international game on both ladies and men side of it They are very uptight, playing for big bucks and worst of all, playing, way, way too slow, 5.5-6+ hour rounds of golf. No real good rivalries as in golf's golden days, Nicklaus vs Trevino, Palmer, Miller, Floyd, etc etc

It’s really gone downhill since the LIV guys split off. I feel they need to come up with a way to get them back into competing together. Some sort of Ryder type competition between the PGA and LIV a couple times a year would make things better.

They've got the fan participation backwards. In golf, you have to whisper so a guy doesn't miss a three foot putt. In baseball, 60,000 people are screaming their guts out, trying to distract you, while a guy throws a 100 mph heater at your head!!! smile

You're just getting old. Younger players are working their way up the standings.

Scottie was better today. Made a great run at it.

Dude, you are correct.

I've played 3 games in my life and that was 2 two many.
I'd rather shoot something or set the hook.
If golf is for you go for it.

Golf use to be more entertaining in the late 1990's - 2010 when Tiger Woods was in his prime playing against Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson and other competitors that showed their raw emotions, it was like they were rivals and showed it. Heck is was intriguing to find out what John Daley was drinking while playing nuts

The LIV split definitely impacted the level of competition. My understanding is that there is a reunification coming - not sure what the current status of that is. I didn’t really understand all of the angst with a lot of folks regarding the split - although I am a huge fan of the sport I don’t buy into the “elitism” regarding certain aspects.

The wife and I (she doesn’t play) actually enjoy watching it on TV - it’s amazing how many times the final outcome of a tournament comes down to the final hole.
