I have been the primary care giver for my father for about the last 18 months. He passed away in February. The wife and I can not stand living in Colorado anymore! We will not be spending another winter here. We will have to get his house sold and affairs settled and then we will be moving to a warmer more hunter friendly place. Looking in Texas and Oklahoma. I know you guys don’t like new people moving in. But is it different if people are seeking to be around like minded people, conservative gun owners, people who love to hunt and want to be good neighbors?

As long as you don’t want to move here and start changing the way we’ve done things as Texans for a long time, come on.

If you move to Austin you will feel like you're in Colorado again only without the mountains.

Once you move to Texas, you’ll instantly be an inch taller and better looking.

The very last thing I would want to do is change texas! Austin is a perfect example of why we want to move.

I don’t much care about the inch taller and better looking. But don’t want to have to deal with the skier and mountain biker traffic that drive like satan’s coachman here.what a pain in the a$$.

They're probably mostly Texans so there is that.

At least they will be in colorado not Texas.

From the way things appear they are going...Oklahoma will be red longer than Texas. Definitely a conscious effort to turn Texas blue in the next decade. I hope they fail but that's the way things are looking right now.

Also, really pay attention to true costs...property taxes BLOW right now and I don't see much of an end in sight with that.

Don't get me wrong, I love Texas and planned to live here the rest of my days but the last decade has me rethinking that just simply due to the cost of living...specifically taxes and insurance, is STUPID!

From what I have seen in rural Texas traffic is very tolerable. Not much if any. That’s what I am looking for.

We are looking in Oklahoma as well. The property prices are very good there right now. Lots of good places on the market. It’s a serious consideration.

I absolutely hate marajuana being legal here. It absolutely sucks. More dispensaries than gas stations here. What a drain on the human race. I think it is the worst thing to happen in colorado.

We have the opposite people up here in Idaho. To get away from the summer heat, half of Nev and Az comes up here to the cooler weather in the mountains. You can recognize them right away - " They have a white shirt and $100 bill, and don't change either one the whole time they are here!!!"

I did 30 years with ups. 20 of those were in lake city colorado. Always laugh my a## off in June and July when the Texans have their coats on and freezing when it was overcast. Short sleeves and shorts for me. It was just right.
