No one is willing to support this. Too many are willing to accept it.

Been my dilemma as well, however many of the guys mentioned in the book are from my hometown. Spent my youth hearing about all these stories. I went to school with the son of one of the guys mentioned in the book, even as a kid he had been in there with them several times.

So I'm sure no one likes movies about such people like Billy the Kid who killed real people not a bunch of deer.

The subject matter is about a thief/trespasser and this being a hunting forum there aren't going to be many here who views poaching in a positive light.

Definitely agree with all the comments here.

I do find the stories fascinating. He had a buddy he did this with, and this other guy has also published his memoirs of his poaching endeavors.

PS

The deer belong to the State, not the ranch.

Did he have to spend any time in jail or pay any fines for the deer he poached?
I'm not going to buy his book to find out.

Seems to me, if he confesses to all that illegal stuff, he would be arrested. The courts would use his own accounts against him.
