I remember this from a few years ago. Ranch sued for 7 million dollars for crossing at the corner to public lands. Crazy amount in law suits these days; Starbucks told to pay $50 million for accidental hot tea spilled into drivers lap. How do they justify the amounts. At least the judges got this one right.

Seems reasonable to me otherwise it's not really public land. Also, how do the land owners in the middle access their property if the don't own at least one of the surrounding properties?

Most of the time the private has the public leased, wither it be BLM, NF or state. Under lease agreement they have different access rights and easements

For the record State land is not covered under this ruling as Each state has a difference use mandate

Good point on the state land BOBO but I'm betw.ng no one will get cited for corner crossing there now.

All that checker board land is owner by the RR or private cattle companies, they have access.

By the way the grazing association in part of that area does allow access and always has.
