I've got a 1 year old Rtic cooler that rides in the bed of my pickup year around. I've notice the ends are warping and turning up. The gap is getting bigger(pic) toward each end of cooler. Wondering if anyone else has had this experience? I put a bag of ice in yesterday and it's already melted. It use to last longer, so assuming seal is not what it was when bought new.
So, thinking of a yeti. Are they prone to this as well?

Was your cooler hot inside when the bag of ice was placed in there? The ice lasts longer if you pre cool first. I do it the night before with a frozen gallon jug of water.

No it was cold from a bag of ice the prior day. When I first got it, I added a bag every other day when it was 75-85 degrees outside. Now i have to add one every day for those weather conditions.

I would there’s definitely a problem. I have a cheap Ozark Trail cooler and it will keep ice for 4-5 days. I would check with Rtic before buying something else.

Common problem for these plastic coolers to warp sitting out in sun all day.

This cooler has set in the same spot for at least 6-7 years and been keeping things cold the whole time. It’s been a good cooler. It’s probably 10 plus years old. [Linked Image]

I concur. In the summer I freeze 16 oz water bottles. As they thaw, I drink the thawed ones. And replace with more frozen ones the next morning. I lived out of an ice chest for a couple decades working out in the boonies. My Yeti was stolen at a motel, replaced with RTIC. Same results, much cheaper. About 9 years old, still holding up.

My Rtic 65 quart keeps ice as well now as it did when I bought it in 2016. I don’t leave it in the truck bed or sun for extended periods, though.

Not all warp. My uncle has a rtic he bought new in 2019. To my knowledge, it has never been off his flatbed. It's the same now as the day he bought it. We'll, it does have a lot of scratches from daily work.

I have an older heavier pelican that has taken a ton of abuse and sunlight. It’s still as good as the day I bought it although it looks well used.
