Mesmerizing to watch in person. At least it washed off my launching ramp.

Link to shot video clip: Windy at my place!

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Jogged my memory with that video...wife and I were hunting early teal at Lake Somerville, she's gone 10 years now. so this was probably 15-18 years ago. We motored out with the long-tail on a 14ft jonboat on really skinny water...breeze came up just at shooting time and we were done in 30 minutes...and there was no water left...the wind continued to rise into the low 20's MPH...and we sat there on the mud until about 2 PM when the wind laid back down...and magically...the "tide" came back in. It was a good time actually, the wind kept the skeeters off, cell phones were just phones mostly then, so we adjusted the throwable cushions we used for seats and curled up together with a couple sandwiches, and a couple DDP's and just talked and laughed and wished we had brought a few beers. Thanks for bringing that one back...

I lost a dock to high winds(90mph) and high water on my pond last year.

Are you concerned about that?
