Considering replacing the plywood siding on my blind with aluminum. I know how hot it gets in the early season. Do you think the metal would be more/less tolerable?

A buddy and I were in a deer lease and had no blinds. He got his hands on big sheets of free metal, which might have been galvanized (it’s been a long time since then). We liked them, but do NOT contact the walls. Really loud. If we had known that, we’d have put something on the inside to dampen the sound. I can’t comment on summer temps.

I have several Atascosa Wildlife Supply steel blinds. They sound noisy on the inside, but after doing some testing, the sound doesn't travel to the outside much at all. Wood or Hardie board siding is going to degrade. It's just a matter time.

I use T111 siding and a good coat of exterior paint. That stuff soaks up paint. I have one or two that have lasted 20 years. The floor and 2x4’s are all treated wood. Really heavy, but solid.

I built a metal blind once. I say it needs something inside to reduce noise

Wood or Hardie board siding is going to degrade. It's just a matter time. Didn't even consider steel panels. That would likely be cheaper than aluminum. The blind is permanently dedicated to a trailer, so weight is no consideration.
