I’ve had it a week next Monday, jury is still out and as Bobo said I still have the old beat up Super Dirty. It’s a lot of fun to drive but so was the Bronco Raptor. Bronco was SO noisy on the highway that it was not tolerable for an old guy whose ears ring nonstop anymore. Rivian is quiet and it’s fast. Storage out the donkey, crazy how much storage it has.

I did a ton of research and charging at home you can save a decent amount of money, like shocking amount. I don’t have a home charger yet and the charger in the parking garage was broken so I used a quick charger this week…it’s the same price as gas and zero savings but home charging will be 30% the cost of fuel.

The Hummer EV was another one I considered but GM is doing typical GM things and the quality control isn’t quite there yet. The cyber truck is for sure the top of the heap and I’d love to support Elon with the things he’s doing but they are expensive and it’s like he let one of his 17 kids design it…it’s just ugly. That and it nor the Lightning fit in the garage at home, that’s a nice feature to have. Then it’s fast, real fast.

The biggest difference between it and gas…the single pedal driving and brake regeneration. Think golf cart, take foot off the brake and it applies brake, that’s taking some getting used to.

I entertained the Rivian when I got my latest Tesla and their sales/service model was a joke. To test drive I had to show up to some unmarked warehouse where they had demo vehicles parked in the grass. There is only one service center with what I was told had months backlog.
