I use a q tip, but avoid the ear canal

I had some pretty bad impacted wax for years. I bought one of those tools that Bluetooth to your phone. I was able to clean mine out on my own and it worked great. You might looked one up.

No, the worst thing was when grandma used a bobby pen to clean your ear out. How the heck did she know how far in to go???

Never understood why a q-tip was bad. If you go slow and twist as you go, it doesn't pack it in, it comes out good. Never had a problem for over 60 years now.

Had it done a couple times. My right side is always worse but I have the Doc do both at the same time.
Like several have said, It's wild how much can get flushed out.

You get some but pack down more. I have sometimes now that looks like a super tiny spoon. It works well.

I doubt it. Like I said, I never have a problem and shoot water and soap in my ears every time I shower. Some people, such as my wife, cannot stand water in their ears. They end up going to a dr to get flushed. I flush mine every day with hot water after the soap. After this long, if I have packed 60 years of wax with a q-tip, you'd think I couldn't hear [censored]. Never failed a hearing test..

I have heard great things about getting your ears cleaned in Vietnam

I use the cone shaped beewax thing that you put into your ear and then lite it on fire. It works! Somehow the heat creates a suction and pulls the wax right out of your ear.

Scam. An ex girlfriend was convinced it was legit and wanted to try it. She did it and all the crude was at the bottom of the cone. She said "see?" I suggested we burn one without putting it in anything. It looked exactly the same as the one she had in her ear. It gives the appearance of a bunch of gunk getting sucked out, but it's fake.

That’s completely incorrect. Ear candles will work for a THFer but only if they post a video or pics of them doing the process.

I can about guarantee I’d manage to have something besides that beeswax on fire and probably burn the whole dang place down.

For some reason I can’t hear the pitch of my wife’s voice. My customers and I yell at each other to communicate. My wife was complaining a few years after we got married and wanted me to go to the doctor to have the ears checked and flushed. The Dr. looked in my ear and said I had the cleanest ears he’d seen, no need for a flush. The gunshots and gas compressors have just damaged me beyond repair.
Anyone I meet who speaks quietly I instantly despise.

I think I'd really enjoy that guy putting a sharp object in my ear and digging around my eardrum.. It looks quite sanitary too. I love the way he stores his utensil behind his ear. I'm sure that keeps it sterile.

Worst fear ever activated.

Had a moth fly into me ear while cruising around the Lake Worth lake road with the windows down in the late 70’s when I was 18-19yo. Felt like a brick hit me! The damn thing went all the way up the ear canal and when it fluttered, it would almost drive me crazy. Had to go the base hospital ER to have it removed. Damn Dr pizzed me off when he released it after extracting it!
