Yep that is #7 and I bogeyed it.

I typically par the hole...210 yards from the blue tees, left of the sand trap which gives me about 105 yards (wedge) into the pin. 1-2 putts.

I started to book a tee time at Turtle Hill for Saturday. They want $50. It's not a $50 course. I like the greens , but the rest leaves much to be desired. I'll wait for daylight saving time and book a cheaper, later tee time.

I bet it's been almost a year since I played there but I used to play there a lot. Lake Murray is usually option #2 and the condition of WinStar has been dreadful for a long time so sometimes I still make it out there. Website says $30 weekdays and $40 weekends but I paid $52 after tax 18 months ago so I don't think they update their website. In fact, I am shocked they have one. Not a $50 course? I guess that's relative. A dozen eggs shouldn't be $8 but it is.

Turtle Hill Saturday was $38.83 after tax and a 4% surcharge for using a card (they notified beforehand). Very crowded but not slow. Decent condition other than some of the fairways which is normal for a rural course in February.

I'll remember not to book online. I thought it was a lot cheaper than $50 the time I played there, but I booked at the clubhouse. The bent greens are a plus. It was nice weather.

Got out yesterday evening and hit the ball great! My son picked up a set of gently used Titleist T-300 irons and they are so much better than the outdated technology I’ve been playing with. Very forgiving clubs and they are almost two clubs longer than my old ones.

Playing Lakeview in Ardmore for the first time Saturday. Lake Murray and WinStar have their greens covered and no tee times for Saturday.

Played Tapatio Springs Sunday, love the course even if the greens were in bad shape.

Yep pretty much everything was dormant, the fairways were in good physical shape, the greens were not green and had some weeds in them.
I really liked the layout of the course and the surrounding terrain, was able to leisurely finish the round in 4 hours.

Turtle Hill has such a problem with pigs they not only have traps but there's a propane cannon or somesuch along the #3 fairway.

Tour 18 was okay. They're redoing the bunkers so #10 is closed and the traps are ground under repair.

Around 9:45 called Tennison Park to walk on, they said it would be 1:00, called Sherill Park, no problem come on down.
They said go on down you will be joined by another walk on.

Turns out my golf partner is about 6,4" muscular man playing from the Black tees and walking, dude could spank the ball long and accurately.
After playing so well on Sunday at Tapatio Springs I was confident that play would continue, NOT.
Front nine could not hit any stick right, back nine played better but still not very good.

It was Geriatric day out there and very slow play, two guys in front of us had to be in their mid 80's, group of 4 in front of them had to be at least mid to late 70's
My partner decided not to play the back 9 because of how slow the play was.

Hey it was a beautiful day and as frustrating as my play was, still enjoyed the heck out of being out there on such a beautiful day. By the way course two is now open also up

Sherri Park was my “home” course growing up. I think I still have a punch card somewhere with some rounds left on it. $125 got me 25 rounds on weekdays or weekends roflmao it was $75 if you only played during the week.

Played out there a few years back and everything had changed. Holes were different and the nine’s were swapped. Was a good time though

That looks like 18. Used to love Sherrill, but over the years it's declined and the pro shop staff doesn't seem to care much as they used to. Been a while since I've played there though, maybe it has improved.

The only dang thing I have to say...is at almost 68, I don't play slow. lol.

Which also means I leave a fair amount of balls in the rough for others to find..

Forum says "Veteran Tracker". I could not track a garbage truck into a fireworks factory.

Have played a few scrambles out there, interesting course. Front is pretty different than backside. Open on front, more trees and water in play on back...

Played Sherill Park #2 course today, it has been God knows how long since I last played it. They made the course easier and play was fast.

Neat course. I belong to an old men’s group that plays twice a week - we typically play WC a couple of times a month. It is one of those courses where you really need to know where to place the shot to set up your next shot. I hope you enjoy it.

Another course you may look into that is one of our fav’s is Rockwood in Ft Worth - we’re playing it Monday.

Played Heritage Ranch in McKinney last week. It's in great shape and should only play better as we go into the spring months.

Had to go up to Lake Murray because it's too wet down here. Cart path only but the sun came out and it got warm.
