Didn’t see too many last year, but boy I got them now. I wonder why there’s been a big increase.

They cycle up and down over the years.

Fire ant population has a lot to do with the population.

They have been wearing out my fire ant mounds for several years now. They dig into the mound and eat everything. Dead mound the next day.

I've had that problem too 603. I've killed 4 in the last 10 days. All were in my nice yard tearing it up. And no, I don't have grubbs. I've got at least one more continuing to be a pest. Way more this year for some reason.

I had one dig under my smoker and it caved in. I used to not kill them, but they've done so much damage around the house lately that I've been killing all I see.

Ok, weird story. Nite IR hunting for hogs, Yup saw one back in the scrub and couldn't ID so no shot. At least no deer Wed nite. Saw something in the trees, thought a coon, then there were two. Back and forth they went for a while, then one came down to the ground. Here it is --

Really? Or a coincidence? I did not know that. I captures the shot vid (no real ID) but unfortunately no other. Ground was almost quick sand and the gopher holes about got me finding the kill spot. 100 yds 300 BO with 125 SST, did an excellent job.

Seems they come and go with the times, Even we have a fenced yard here, but they still get in at times
in front yard. Heard they make a granule type bait you can spread down on the yard. Not sure if this a bait or
just enuff to run them off somewhere else?
Anyone heard of this?

Is so report back here.....

thanks....

Lots of wildlife that I haven’t seen since before the 4 year drought. I don’t even see or hear coyotes.

Here's my armadillo kit. Subsonic 22LR rounds make the eradication nice and quiet. Light 'em up and shoot 'em up!

2.75" 00 buck works from up to around 40 yds. I used to shoot them with #6's but too many ricochets. I have killed around 12 since 2021. Only two this year I think.
They seek out my yard in the heat of the summer because it is irrigated and fertilized. No grubs.

I haven’t been after them lately, but the gun of choice is my Tikka 22, with HP ammo. The wife sort of likes them till they get in the flower beds.
