Who are your favorite, most respected, etc. lawmen in history?
Anyone is welcomed to respond but it would be especially interesting to hear from our law enforcement community.
History is always a fun and interesting topic on the THF.

I work with too many good LEO’s, many are my heroes, it would be a grave dishonor to name just 1.

I work with too many good LEO’s, many are my heroes, it would be a grave dishonor to name just 1. https://lawenforcementactionpartnership.org/peel-policing-principles/That's pretty interesting. You can name more than one. This thread is more about history than currently living lawmen. Who are your favorite, most respected, etc. lawmen in history?

Manuel T. "Lonewolf" Gonzaullas, Manny Gault, Frank Hammer are the most interesting, I worked with a few who were bigger than life but like someone already stated, to name one would be a discredit to the others.

Dallas Sheriff Bill Decker
Had some old family get dealt with by him Along that line... try to find and read a copy of 'Captain Will Fritz an the Dallas Mafia' by Jim Gatewood. Interesting guy and lots of good history of Dallas' dark side.

I've worked with many exceptional officers. Rangers Wardlow and Aycock, Sgt. Keith Reid, Ofc. Kallus, and Sgt. Patruchia all come to mind.

Those 3 guys are worth remembering. Lots of other good ones and a few small town turds Anyone historical? Not that I know of, just really good people with good intentions. I could add a retired fbi agent to that list. Although I didn’t know him when he was working.

The 2 best I know have the same 2 traits
They are both great managers of people
And that is rare to find in management of any type industry these days
Both those guys stand behind common sense and apply it

2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 In these verses, there are dire consequences for NOT obeying the gospel. What the world claims as "saved" isn't gonna cut it! Learn what it is, in an eye opening true story, "Muscle and a Shovel", by Michael Shank.
