After seeing Tbar’s post on his ranch gate renew. I decided to start a new thread as to not hijack his. Our gate is twelve years old. Last fall we re-leveled it, sand blasted and repainted it. It came out really nice.

Years ago I thought about driving around Texas taking pictures of gates. I was going to publish a coffee table book of the gates of Texas. There are a lot of interesting gates around the state. I never got it done.

Y'all have some good looking gates. Would anybody be able to give me an idea of what a nice head gate would cost? We just bought a new place in Coleman county a couple of years ago and are thinking about doing something that looks a little better than a standard pasture gate

Thanks!

The guy who did our front gate 15 years ago has gotten out of the business (he’s peddling real estate now).

When our daughter passed away in ‘22, we hired Danek Welding to build a new gate at the White Chapel Cemetery and he did a good job for us. Lemme see if I’ve got a pic of that job…

After seeing these, I’d be ashamed to show mine.

Our gate? Or White Chapel Cemetery? I’m confused…

The bride did get her bachelor’s at TAMU but she’s not rabid about it. Since I started roughnecking straight outa high school, I have ZERO collegiate affiliations (excepting my post doctoral work from Hard Knocks U)…

Not to worry: there’s a reason that I refer to them as “ego gates”.

Which is why we went with something more classic and subdued.

Hey bud, I didn't know you were on here. Your family is growing nicely! I need to catch up with your mom & dad. I actually sent your contact info yo TexasRanch56 on a PM. Hopefully he reaches out to you.
