What new. The 10 year old truck I am currently driving cost $65000 out the door in 2015. The same level of truck today is $96000- 100000. That’s a 4% per year average increase in 10 years.🤬

My trucks are 6yr, 18yr, and 27 yrs old. Cheaper to repair than buy new. I'll keep what I have, don't need new.

Yall are correct. After my extensive shopping, all vehicles are terribly expensive. Sticker prices are ridiculous. You can negotiate a ton of discount on some models. Others (Tundra, Tacoma and 4 Runner) are way overpriced with tricky trims and options.

I love my new Ram, be glad when my AMP running boards come in. It's like doing a chin-up when I get in.

"Tariffs COULD add". It's all speculation. Tariffs could force other countries to negotiate better with us causing a reduction in prices too. We don't really know how this is all going to play out. These are scare tactics to pit the population against Trump.

Yup, I refuse to buy new and take that hit of driving it off the lot anyway so it doesn't affect me. But you're right its only scare tactics to try and turn the people against Trump.

Bingo.
Things usually get worse before they get better as well. Let them call our bluff....their population will turn on them in a second the minute they can't afford to eat. In other words, they have more to lose than we do.

My 2014 F250 is running like a scalded ape with routine maintenance. With the mileage still in the 80K range I might try and go another 10 years. There is no need to pay another mortgage for less quality truck.

New models are way too over engineered for my tastes. Good for some of you guys keeping older vehicles for years/decades.

My ‘19F350 has 104k. Wife’s ‘17 Expedition has 106k. We just put new tires on both, that was tough enough.

Canada well hurt the worst as their take home paychecks are substantially less due to taxes any way

Trump’s tariff talk is driving results—Honda’s coming home! More jobs, less Mexico—classic Trump.

Couple of years from now we’ll be saying “please stop with all the winning!”

My 23 Power Wagon was made in Mexico and I think all of them are made there. Prices are so high on the Rams now, it is going to create a problem for Stellantis. Almost 40% of Stellantis's vehicles are made in Mexico and Canada. If the tariff war don't change for the better soon, Stellantis better start moving back to the US. Another 10% to 25% over what I paid for mine, I would not have bought it.

I plan on buying some Mickey Thompsons for my truck this spring/summer. I got to thinking I might want to check in case I should go get them now. Google says made in US with rubber sourced in US. I'm going to be pissed if they raise the price on them 25%. I suspect some businesses will try to pull that crap to take advantage.

Unless you’re spinning them, tires experience almost all their wear in the summer. Might as well buy them now.

Buying new is not smart anyway…..terrible investment to buy new….. they will lower prices when dumb consumers stop buying…..especially at sticker prices hammer
