Howdy y'all

I recently purchased a RRS Anvil 30 ball head to sit atop of my vortex high country tripod. Upon receiving the anvil 30 in the mail, I discovered that my tripod threads will not accept this ball mount. I am assuming that is due to the high country being more of a optics focused tripod rather than a shooting tripod. Alas I am sourcing to y'all, I do not want to spend a crap ton more money on this setup to get it functional, but I need a new tripod. I have already spent $300 on the high country tripod and would like this next tripod to be around the $3-400 mark.

Do any of y'all have any recommendations on a budget minded tripod?

Is it just the screw head size? They make adaptor screws

The camera world and the shooting world sometimes don’t play well together with tripods. I use a BOG POD Infinite and I think it works great. I’m just a hick living in the woods though.

This is probably what you need, all tripods function off 1/4 or 3/8 screw

Thanks for the help. I think an adapter will do the trick with saving me half a band.
