I've acquired an "as new" in box Mossberg Shockwave from a deceased dealer's inventory and have registered it as an AOW. Unlike suppressors and SBR's, the tax stamp to transfer an AOW is only $5. 14.5 inch barrel, 12 gauge, 3" chamber, capacity 5 + 1, comes with factory lock, box and paperwork. AOW modifications are removal of the 'birds heads grip' and replacement with a pistol grip, and replacing the foregrip with a vertical grip. $850 or best offer. Unless they have changed the rules, when I bought my Shockwave it was simply considered a firearm and came with a certification of that determination in the box with the gun. Granted, mine has the factory bird beak grip on it if that makes a difference.

Am also replacing the forend with a Magpul MOE Mlok forend with a vertical grip. Both features turn it into an AOW.
