MLYENX on Amazon. Not spending big money on work shirts that are likely to be abused.

A few long sleeves from from columbia, but mostly off brands of the same I found on Amazon. After almost loosing my dad to stage 4 melanoma I rarely go outside without sleeves on.

I've found the DryWorks t-shirts at Walmart work very well for me. I think they are 50 spf rated and are great at wicking moisture away almost to a point of cold during the heat of the summer when sweating a lot. They usually are around $10 for short sleeve and a bit more for long sleeve. I rarely wear long sleeve as they just aren't comfortable to me. I have Columbia and Magellan button up in both short & long sleeve for a nicer look but the cheap t-shirts are my go-to for work shirts.

I were short sleeve shirts then put on breathable arm sleeves. You can get them from Amazon about $15.00. Much cheaper than a LSS and when you go inside just take them off.

My dermatologist recommends Collibar but they are expensive. I hate long sleeves in the summer (play golf in the arm sleeves like Angus) but a whole bunch better than being cut on. I have lost track of how many basal cell and squamaous cell spots I have had cut off of me. Moths surgery is not much fun either. Also use Columbia and American Sportsman long sleeve shirts.

Columbia mainly but just to cause issues at the home front I buy burleboo, freefly, GOHUNT, Kuiu, and marsupial gear

Columbia or Magellan when I’m fishing or shooting. Columbia feels cooler in summer when it is really hot. Magellan is thicker and holds up longer. I wear the Magellan in spring and fall when it is not as hot. Cotton if I’m working because I destroy the fishing shirts.
Long sleeves.

Mostly Columbia and Orvis button-ups. A big hat is key for me. I have a Tilley I really like.

Most every rancher I grew up around wore long-sleeve denim shirts even in 100+ degree weather, and a big-arse hat. I'm bad about it and will probably pay for it at some point.
Not trying to be rude, but if you're over the age of 65-70, there's not much point, IMO. You've either already got it or you're in the clear and there's not enough time left for it to get you.

Not much of a hoodie guy but I like the long-sleeved T-shirt. With a Bucket hat.

You have to remember if you are going this route to protect your hands and head/neck. It does no good to protect your arms and expose your hands and neck.
Also need to remember to wear UV protecting sunglasses. There is a lot of UV/oxidative damage that occurs in the eye and is one of the main reasons for macular degeneration (smoking and constantly being around cigarette smoke is probably the number one reason)

Coolibar are the primary ones I wear. I have a couple of Columbia shirts, but they look more like a glossy coverup shirt. The Coolibar shirts look more like regular tee-shirts.
Thanks, Rich

I wore mesh ball caps for too many years. After getting Mohs surgery on scalp , I will wear bucket hats ,long sleeve shirts and least a 70 spf suncreen on my face on all fishing trips.
good luck

Welding, Wrangler pearl snap long sleeve.
Not welding, Dickie's "Temp IQ" white shirts. They look bad now from stains. I don't care. I'm not trying to win a fashion show, while working.

I’ve recently had some of them removed. Now, I have a bunch of pre cancer red places, spots and almost rash, on my hands, face, ears, etc. Doc has me putting Vaseline on them. No idea why, but they seem to slowly being going away.
I’m 82. Brother, sister, mother, grandfather and 2 grandmothers have died from cancer. Not a stranger to me but I’m doing everything I can to not let it slow me down. I’ve whipped minor skin cancer twice.

My grandfather worked on a ranch his whole life. For the most part, he took necessary precautions to protect his skin but it did catch up to him. By the time he left the ranch, his ears looked like a few of the bulls, notches being cut out. I'm in the same boat as he was, redheaded and fair skinned. I'm 63 now and according to an earlier post, I need to go off in a corner somewhere and die. My GF was 87 when he passed and if live as long as he did, I've got another 24 years to go. I'll continue to wear LS shirts, hats, and sunscreen as my wife will not shut up if I don't.
