I've always been a fan of Babe's fried chicken. You can't ever go wrong. Yesterday my wife and I drove to Frisco to see our son, his wife and granddaughters. We went to a new restaurant in Frisco called Seager and Sons. Apparently it's one of the hottest new restaurants in the area with great reviews. It's over by Blue Mesa Mexican restaurants. We were told the fried chicken is outstanding. Wow was all I can say. It's probably the best we've had. Their portions are huge. We left with a pretty good size bag of groceries to snack on. Our son also got a pizza which was just outstanding.
If you're in the area I highly recommend it.
Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!

I keep hearing about this place and really want to check it out. I hear the pizza is awesome too, did y'all try it? That whole boardwalk area (technically Plano) is pretty cool.

Went to their website and the Yardbird looks very good. The menu indicates you can only order a full or 1/2 of a chicken, not individual pieces. Definitely look like a go to place, will try it! It is actually in far N Plano right next to Frisco 5864 State Hwy 121 Suite 106, Plano, TX 75024 https://www.seagerandsons.com/

We got the full bird and brought a some home.

Yes my son got a pizza. I believe he got the Neapolitan if I recall. I'm not much on veggie pizzas, however the crust and sauce were excellent!

I like Mikes chicken. Two in Dallas. Ate at the one on Forest Lane, liked the crust and flavor, drawback was the pieces of chicken were very small.

Cornerstone Cafe, Gainesville, TX. Used to be called The Fried Pie (forever). Built in what was a Cadillac Oldsmobile dealership from the 1930's to the early '60's. Very good fried chicken and sides meal.
Pass the gravy.

If you're in the area I highly recommend it. My wife and I ate at Seager and Sons while taking a break from some Christmas shopping in December. We left full as a tick and loved the fried chicken. We split a half bird and a pizza and while the pizza was good, the yardbird stole the show. Great ambiance, great service, cool decor, great cocktails, and great food. We will be back. We tried to get reservations on a Saturday in February and it was booked 2 weeks in advance, so apparently a lot of people have discovered it.
