Nice! I am nowhere near that as my travel really slowed down about 8 years ago.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect. Some people live an entire lifetime & wonder if they ever made a difference in the world, a veteran doesn't have that problem. Reagan

Nice to have but bet you don’t care in the short term. I’d have to guess your CK based on your travel habits over the past year unless it has been a lot of long haul in coach

That’s a crazy amount. My wife managed to get lifetime gold. She had platinum status but stopped traveling for work so it was reduced to gold.

As I get a few years away from retirement, it will be a nice perk for vacation travel when typically I might not qualify for a higher elite status. Credit card miles and bonus miles don’t count for million miler status. “Flight distance on American marketed flights or the base miles earned for travel on any eligible AAdvantage® program participating airline will count toward AAdvantage Million Miler™ status; AAdvantage® bonus miles and additional miles earned through special promotional offers will not count toward Million Miler™ status.“ I still travel a lot for business but just not as much, probably 50K to 75K per year when I used to do over 100K annually.

that's a lot of skymiles!!! I had 3-4 years where I was well over 100k, made platinum status but that was 15 years ago. I haven't traveled with work since right before Covid. We've found alternate ways during those Covid years to drastically reduce travel and connect via Webex, Skype, Teams, etc. with video conferencing.

I traveled quite a bit before retiring. Most of the commercial flying was within the US so not a lot of miles, but a lot of flights. I do have a Marriott Bonvoy Lifetime Titanium Elite. It took me and the Wife about 10 years to use up all the Southwest and hotel points. The traveling wasn't that bad it was the airports that were a PITA.

Sitting in DFW waiting to board a flight. Starting talking to guy next to me that flew 2 round trips per week. I told him that I was going to end year 1 flight from gold. He said just take a flight to get gold. I said not worth it. That year most of my flights were short 1s to Birmingham and Huntsville. I was flying almost every week but not a lot of miles.

Preaching to the choir -- I don't have 4mm lifetime miles, but I've got 2 and most of those were BIS after American stopped counting the bonus miles in 2009 or so. At 750k LPs this year and 3.5m miles available for use (very few CC miles), I'm getting tired of flying myself

Dad had somewhere near 3 million miles when he retired in '93. He was one of the first AAdvantage members.

Good work!
I hit the 2 million miles required for Lifetime AAdvantage Platinum about 10 years ago. It was a really a nice perk when my flying cut back and I didn't have to requalify every year.
Now that I'm retired, it's nice to still get the priority treatment when I fly.
