Would any of y'all be down for a Brisket cook off in Mineral Wells on Saturday?

A good buddy of mine started the Smokin' Hot BBQ Cook Off and Blue Grass Festival 4 years ago and we have had 5 of the 8 teams have to back out for various reasons within the last 2 weeks. It's always been a great turn out, spots to camp / RV (bring a generator), great for kids and just a fun all day event from 12p to sun down on Saturday.

Competition is for best best Brisket, side and dessert. $70 to enter.

This was something just brought to my attention just this evening. We've got less than 50% of the food being made and more mouths attending than last year. If y'all don't have anything to do this wknd and like to cook brisket and drink some cold beer, please PM me. It would mean a lot.

Forgot to mention, you don't have to sign up for all 3. You can do just best side or dessert if you'd like. Entry for Brisket is $50, $10 for side, $10 for dessert.

way too short of notice for me as my calendar is booked out several months by my social events coordinator (wife). Always something I would enjoy giving a try but way too many other things on my plate to pick up another hobby. Good Luck in finding a few more teams.
