This one ain't going to be producing any more litters! Put a bit of lead out of my Ruger 22 Mag right in her ear. Dropped like a rock, with barely a kick or squeal.

Good job. That size should be good eating.

I was really out trying to thin the coon population when this young lady trotted out. 22Mag ain't my favorite hog whacker, but as been repeatedly said, bullet placement is the most important aspect of taking out the piggies (or any other animal, as well.)

Have you discussed it with Henry? I'd talk to them about it and then, if they can't give you a phone fix, send it to them to have a Henry technician give it a good look

Junction gunsmith has sent it to them once. 'Can't rely on it. It sits at the back of the safe. frown

When the hog walks out the .22 mag in your hands is better than the .30-06 sitting back in the safe .

So true! It's like having your carry pistol in the glove compartment when you need it to neutralize a threat.

About 60 yards. I really made no attempt to pace it off and didn't have my range finder with me.
