Steve and I are going to go up and hunt with the Hwy Man for a couple of days. Two 70+ year old Farts stumbling around with Marlin Model 94's in .357 Mag with iron sights trying to call up and kill coyotes...
Should be a hoot! We will try to get you a report if there are any survivors.
Adios,
Gary

Adios,
Gary

Gary, that reminds me of when I was a kid in high school working at my local Gibson's discount store. I worked in the sporting goods department, and one day we got one of those Marlin model 70's in .357. It seemed like the whole town came to take a look. It didn't stay long on the shelf.

If memory serves me correctly, we called in 12 coyotes and a bobcat on 10 stands. Wind was not a huge factor although it did switch on one stand and it cost Mike a shot at three coyotes. I was embarrassed by my shooting as I missed one when I tried to exceed my shooting range with iron sights and then when I cut a cedar limb going to a coyote standing broadside at less than 30 steps...
I did however, enjoy shooting the Marlin 94 in .357 Mag. Lightweight and hands like a dream.
Adios,
Gary
