Did I miss it, where were the parents at 4AM? He’s 14, I don’t think that is too young to be left home alone overnight.

Several years ago there was a great story:
A girl about 14 calls 911 and says two men are breaking into her home and she was alone.
She also stated that she had a shotgun and was retreating upstairs.
As the perps started up the stairs she warned them she was armed and then started shooting (as I recall she killed one and seriously wounded the other).
Turns out the girl was a two time State Youth Champion skeet shooter
I think it was Kansas.
